As an art teacher, my goal is to create an environment of collaborative and explorative learning. My focus is to share with my students new images and objects and ways of thinking, and utilizing the visual arts as a means of self-expression and developing creative and critical thinking. I teach to all levels and make it possible for every single child to succeed and feel good about their work. Art is a tool that can be used to build a student’s confidence, self-esteem and problem solving skills.
Teaching art enriches my life as an artist and person. I consider myself privileged to have an opportunity to positively affect children’s lives.
